Gillian (she/her) is the co-founder of Purposeful Partners, a Toronto based consultancy that focuses on fundraising and philanthropy strategy, operational support, project management and interim leadership to help social impact organizations achieve their mission and goals. 

Gillian has over 15 years experience working in nonprofit and government sectors and has had the privilege to work alongside organizations of all sizes in the arts and culture, health, and youth development spaces. She has deep experience in policy development, philanthropy, grant-making, strategic and implementation planning, program development, and community engagement and facilitation. 

Most recently she was the Director of Institutional Giving at Jack.org where she led the corporate, foundation, and government portfolios securing millions of dollars for youth mental health and capacity-building programming. Her professional experience is supported by degrees in Cultural Studies (Hons BA), Public Policy and Administration (MA), and Cultural/Not-for-Profit Management (post-grad certificate). 

Gillian lives in Tiohtiá:ke/Montreal with her partner and two children.
